Michael Jackson's ex-wife and the mother of his two older children is in line to obtain custody of them, even if the pop star designated another person as their guardian after his death, legal experts said Friday.

Although UC Berkeley law professor Herma Hill Kay said it was "not a slam dunk" that ex-wife Debbie Rowe would win custody, four other experts in family law said she would have the advantage if a custody battle ensued.

Crowds of Southern California visitors, already mourning the death of Michael Jackson at popular tourist spots all over Los Angeles, are expected to salute the King of Pop all weekend on tour buses and vans, in museums and at Hollywood landmarks.

At the new Grammy Museum in the downtown entertainment center L.A. Live, a steady stream of visitors checked out an extended exhibit of Jackson's sparkling wardrobe.

Today was "one of our biggest days," museum spokeswoman Katie Dunham said. "I think this weekend is going to be big for this exhibit."

'So You Think You Can Dance' Top 16: Babies Got Back

In many ways--one almost literally--tonight's top 16 episode of So You Think You Can Dance kicked ass. Butt seriously, folks...here are my (ass)essments of tonight's eight couples, listed in order of bootyliciousness.

OK, this routine--my favorite of the night--is the inspiration for all my intended puns in the above paragraph. A product of the twisted mind of mad-genius choreographer Mia Michaels, this cheeky routine was "all about the booty," with the usually sweet, Astaire-like Evan quite convincingly taking on the role of a dirty old ass-man transfixed by the posterior of a "girl who is like a poodle" (the bodacious and curvaceous Randi, covered up in little more than a Cat On A Hot Tin Roof slip) that he almost "loses bodily function." Um, okaaaay. The way Mia described her butt-fixated vision, as she basically instructed Randi to shove her derriere in Evan's face repeatedly, got me worried that their dance would end up looking like something that ought to belong on the Playboy Channel, not the family-friendly Fox Network. But you know what? It was actually charming. Weird, and kind of lecherous, but charming. "Who else but Mia Michaels would come up with a routine about a poodle's butt?" judge Nigel Lythgoe asked rhetorically. Fellow judge Mary Murphy was equally amused by this rumpshaking number to Koop's "Koop Island Blues," calling Evan a real leading man and praising Randi's courage for letting it all hang out and dancing so confidently when "10 million viewers are looking at your butt!" But then again, with a dancing-honed physique like hers--and the skills to match--Randi had no reason not to be confident. Guest judge Toni Basil (a choreography LEGEND and the cheerleading pop star behind the early-MTV classic "Mickey") astutely pointed out that sometimes when contestants get assigned Mia as their choreographer, they run the risk of actually being upstaged by the choreography itself: "The choreography can become the star." But, as Toni also, equally astutely pointed out, that did not happen with Evan and Randi tonight. Instead they embodied Mia's quirky characters and were the true stars of the night. After this great bottom-centric routine, there's no way they'll be in the bottom tomorrow.

She is practically two people — the real-life incarnation of Disneys's billion-dollar "Hannah Montana" franchise, and Miss Miley Cyrus, a precocious Southern girl who just released "Miles To Go," 272 pages on the life lessons she has learned in all of her 16 years.

Here's the rest: Critics' Choice and Golden Globe nominations, an impressive Grammy performance alongside pal Taylor Swift, a Kids' Choice Award, the cover of Glamour Magazine, the premiere of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" this coming Friday.

And that's just been the first few months of 2009. Even at this young age she's more than just a starlet — Miley is a full-blown pop phenomenon. The line between Hannah Montana the character and Miley Cyrus the superstar is blurry at best.

The character takes on aspects of the real girl — both are Tennessee natives dealing with a new life in Hollywood, and dad Billy Ray Cyrus even plays her dad on the show. It's a level of fictional reality that makes perfect sense to teen viewers in this post- "The Hills" world. "It's all very confusing,"Cyrus admits."It's not so separate. I think it's really proven that as much as changes and as much as changes, then again it's all the same person." She may be Disney's latest girl next door, but she has already weathered a few personal and professional storms that have portrayed her as not that innocent. First there was the uproar over the Vanity Faire portrait that had her in little more than a sheet. Then came the personal photos leaked online of her posing suggestively in her bathroom. Paparazzi follow her and her boyfriend everywhere. Miley's living out her teenage years while everyone's watching. "She's just such a superstar that people are interested in everything she does, whether they love her or hate her. She's that one girl that everyone has an opinion on one way or another," says Matt Rettenmund, editor in chief of Popstar! Magazine. "She's as big or bigger than Britney Spears." "People will always say that I'm over-exposed and that's what I want, all this attention," says "MILEY CYRUS" . "That's not it. What I love is the art of it all." "Music is not something that was thrust upon her as another way to make money or make her name bigger. It's something that she genuinely wanted to pursue,"says Rettenmund. And for all the control Disney could exert, she's a 16-year-old who does voice her opinion."Even by the time her second album was released, she was pushing to have a say. Her latest party came when she hosted a private dinner at a restaurant in Los Angeles, during which guests reportedly toasted her split from Brown.
